For almost 10 years Tabernacle has celebrated Epiphany by handing out Star Gifts at the end of the service.  This idea was borrowed from an article in Reformed Worship and encouraged by the practice of our Chin friends who would choose a verse of scripture as “their” scripture passage for the coming year.  Each star has on it a word that describes a personal attribute of character. Your star is an invitation to reflect on the word in the coming year, and how it meaningful in your life. Sometimes it is something you need more of, sometimes it is something you need less of—often it is both! 

This year the practice will (of course!) be a little different.  On Jan. 3, 2021 we will hold a Star Gift Drive-through event from 1:00-3:00 PM. Any time during this window you may drive your car in front of the church to safely receive a star from a staff member or from a youth with minimal physical contact.
